"Alessandra Spranzi presents Cose che accadono (Things That Happen), photographs taken between 2002 and 2004 in order to investigate gestures and objects that explain nothing, but could occur.
What is the truth behind a gesture? And what is the truth behind a photographed gesture? ‘Everything occurs continuously, without a pause, leaving very few traces’, the artist replies. ‘Unlike the previous works, this is not a series: there is no modulation, but rather the identification of a common atmosphere, a feeling that links the photos, regardless of their formal consistency. The common elements are a room, a table and the mise-en-scène of several everyday objects’."
